Top seeds through to finals of NZ Open junior squash tournie

Top seeds Kaitlyn Watts and Matthew Lucente have made their way through to tomorrow’s finals with relative ease winning their semi-final matches 3-0.

In the Boys Open, second seed Lwamba Chileshe took a 4 set win over his brother Temwa to book his place in the final, while in the Girls Open it was third seed Courtney Trail who fought through a tough 5-set battle with Anika Jackson to earn a chance at the title tomorrow.

In the Boys Division 1 it will be a battle of the third and fourth seeds Charlie Prince and Maz Saunders, while in The Girls Division 1 and Boys Division 2 the top seeds have made it safely through.

Games tomorrow start at 10am and the times for the finals are:

1.20pm Boys Division 2 Final – (1) Paddy Ferguson vs (2) Isaac Cowley

1.20pm Boys Division 1 Final – (3) Charlie Prince vs (4) Maz Saunders

1.20pm Girls Division 1 Final – (1) Haley Thurlow vs (2) Chelsea Trail

2.00pm Girls Open Final – (1) Kaitlyn Watts vs (3) Courtney Trail

2.40pm Boys Open Final – (1) Matthew Lucente vs (2) Lwamba Chileshe
